Teddy RayTeddy Ray is the executive pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Lexington, KY. He has a blog where he shares thoughts on the practice of ministry as well as theological reflections. One of the things I appreciate about Teddy is his deep Wesleyan sensibility, which often comes through in his writing.

A few days ago, Teddy wrote a post he titled, “Why I Love Wesleyan Theology.” It is geared around the Wesleyan view of salvation, which holds a strong belief in the profound power of God’s grace and the possibility of transformation in holiness.

So check it out. Teddy’s writing generally is a testament to the fact that doctrine and theology really do matter. And he points to many of the reasons why I, too, am so compelled by Wesleyan theology in particular.

  1. Andrew, these are incredibly encouraging words from anyone – and especially from someone whose writing I’ve enjoyed and respected as much as I have yours. Thank you! For such kind words, and for the extra publicity.

  2. Sure thing. It was a great post, and you write really good stuff in general. Keep up the good work!
